For all contestants and spectators! Be sure to tune in on your new favourite YouTube channel - youtube.com/freewc09! With your help we will blow out this entire WC all over the web - all week. The videochannel will be filled with interviews, splitscreen underwater photage from our stationary cameras, HD videos from our uw-camera divers and everything else fun. Everybody is welcome to contribute to our channel with mobile videos or any other media you could think of - express your perspective on freediving and let the world know what it´s all about. If you have your own YouTube channel or flickr, facebook and twitter please help us distribute and keep the show alive. If you have any inquiries - grab on to your nearest freewc09 media guy.

The Danish Sport Diving Federation invites all the freediving nations of the world to Denmark for CMAS Apnea World Championship 2009 (FreeWC09.dk) in Aarhus, Denmark.
FreeWC09 will be a five day competition with one, two or three days of optional training prior to competition.
There will be room for 200 athletes. Three women and three men from each country.
The Championship starts with verification at Aarhus Swim Stadium
Monday and Tuesday August 17 and 18, 2009, and ends Saturday August 22 2009 with the award ceremony, farewell dinner, underwater disco and team static ind the 5 meter dive pool.
On August 15, 16 and 17 it is possible to train in Aarhus Swim Stadium.
The price, for each athlete in the competition, is 165 EURO. This includes free training, some food and free hard floor accommodation, (only space for 100) book it on the accommodation page.
The price for captain, trainer or coach are 100 Euro. Media with press card is free.
Deadline for signup is Juli the 31'.

The athletes also has to make their apnea licence payments directly to CMAS.
What you have to do is;
Make the entry payment as described above and send the payment documents to the organization; vermeulen.pim@gmail.com and kurt@lykkelarsen.dk and CC to spo@cmas.org anddsf@sportsdykning.dk (please note that the bank info is at the bottom of this page).
Finally organise your travel by yourself, hotel can be booked through the accommodation page.
